For me the season starts this saturday when we travel to Brunton Park, home of Carlisle United. A team themselves struggling for form especially at home where they have played 2 and lost 2. They also have a list of several players unavailable for the game through injury, they are – Richard Keogh, Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, Tom Taiwo, Si Lakeland, Liam Davison, Jamie Cleary and Ben McKenna. So for saturday they only have 17 players to chose from, If you ask me if there was ever an ideal time to make the gloomy trip to Carlisle, this weekend would be it.
I expect to see the inclusion of Barnett from the start on saturday as well as a potential start for both Ricketts and Broomes. I would also like to see Edds given a chance in his preferred midfield role as let’s face it hasn’t worked up until now in midfield for us.
I am hopeful of 3 but would take a point right now. The formation is likely to be 4-4-2 which I firmly agree with JB is our best formation for now, he could tinker with a 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 but for Saturday I think it would be too risky.
Does anyone have any views/info they would want to share? Any views post them! We want to hear from you.

A win there followed by a win at home to Walsall will do Barnesey and Co a world of good. Come on boys, wear that shirt with pride and lets get maximum points!
Even though Carlisle haven’t won at home I think we’ll struggle if he sticks to the same tactics and lineup. Welsh and Mclaren haven’t been involved in any game this season and are just stepping on the centre halves toes, pointless at this level, we’re not Chelsea! If we’re positive we have the players to grab a few goals.
